Spotted Dog

Welcome to our beautiful 15th century public house, nestled in the charming historic village of Penshurst, in the Kentish Weald at the confluence of the River Medway and River Eden.

The Spotted Dog is in the hamlet of Smarts Hill and was converted from a series of cottages around 500 years ago. We are a friendly, local pub that welcomes all guests, including those with paws and wagging tails (we are dog-friendly!).

For those of you who love the outdoors, we are surrounded by some fabulous walking and hiking routes. So why not drop your car off in our spacious car park, perambulate at your leisure, and then treat yourself to some well-deserved refreshments back at The Spotted Dog.
