Pheasant, The

We are a friendly cosy country pub with enthusiastic and attentive staff, complemented by a wide range of drinks and food to match. We put a great deal of attention to our garden and terrace. Inside you will find a warm welcome to our bustling bar at the centre of our pub which you will find propped up by our locals bursting with local ales, great wines and a rather impressive gin collection. Mornings at the Pheasant from 10.00 am prove to be incredibly popular with dog walkers and catching up after the school drop off.

We have character rooms with blazing open fires and a fantastic large sunny garden with a tractor to boot. You can dine in our formal garden room or grab a seat in the bar for something a little cosier. Carefully extended from its 18th century heart it is now an attractive country pub.

The various interconnected areas are split up by timbering and painted standing pillars and throughout there are wall to wall prints and pictures, elegant metal chandeliers mirrors, house plants and books on every window sill. There are a couple of dining rooms at each end separated by open fires and another two sided open fire separating the bar with a mix of tables on bare boards and rugs. The well equipped oak bar remains at the core with bar stalls at every side ready for the locals. As for our garden you'll find our terrace with an open fire pit in the middle, gas heaters, festoon lighting and built in seating surrounding our fire pit within our terrace. There is an array of extra seating on our terrace and picnic sets on the lawn.
