Rich, hearty, and full of deep, malty flavors, this Oxtail and Harvey’s Porter Casserole is the perfect comfort dish for slow cooking. The robust notes of our Porter complement the tender, slow-braised oxtail, creating a rich and velvety sauce packed with depth and warmth.
Ingredients:
- 4 Chunks of Oxtail (3-4cm)
- 1 Large Onion (Chopped)
- 2 Leeks (Chopped)
- 4 Cloves of Garlic (Chopped)
- 4 Bay Leaves
- 1 Tin of Chopped Tomatoes
- 1/2 Pint (285ml) Beef Stock
- 1/2 Pint ( 285ml) Harvey’s Porter
Method:
- Roast the Oxtail and Onion in an oven dish for 20-30 Minutes or until browned at Gas Mark 6 or 200°C Electric.
- Place the ingredients in a casserole dish and cook for 6-8 hours at Gas Mark 3 or 165°C Electric.
- De-bone the Oxtail if required and serve with mash & green vegetables.
