Harvey's have introduced a new IPA to their canned beer selection. Wharf IPA is a modern heavily hopped IPA and brewed with new hop varieties to create a joyful outpouring of fresh flavours from the bine.
Keeping up with the demand for kegged and craft IPAs, Harvey's Wharf IPA has been brewed to be zesty and fragrant with an abv of 4.8%. Most modern IPA’s are brewed using new varieties of hops from America, Australia and New Zealand. Wharf IPA is brewed using new hop varieties grown in Sussex and Kent, thereby retaining the element of local sustainability that separates Harvey’s beers from others. The imagery on the can is of the Wharf opposite the brewery site which sits on the river Ouse where the brewery was established in 1790.
Having soft launched the new brew in keg at the start of the summer, the company have received an overwhelmingly positive reaction from customers and publicans alike who are fervently in favour of the Wharf.
This has been reflected in its recent win at the British Bottler's Institute awards 2017, where the beer won gold in the ‘IPA abv 4.0% - 5.4%’ category the face of stiff competition.
Bob Trimm, Sales and Marketing Manager, explains, “Customers had requested a Hoppy citrus style beer from us for some time, but we were conscious not to produce an American style IPA that was overtly hoppy with a huge hit of Grapefruit. We wanted to brew a beer that was of the style but with more balance, a beer that that you would want a second pint of. After the initial success and feedback of the keg product, we decided to press ahead with canning Wharf IPA”.
Wharf IPA is available in keg and cans.
