Brewed by families, whose ‘heritage sites’ evolved over the centuries, maintaining traditional systems of brewing and inspiring local loyalties.
To be held in our back yard at the brewery, off Harvey’s Way.

Famous Beer Writer, Roger Protz, Visits Lewes
Roger Protz has been a prolific writer on all aspects of beer and brewing for over forty years.
He will be speaking at the John Harvey Tavern and promoting his award winning book ‘The Family Brewers of Britain’ on
Friday 9th September at 4.30 pm and Saturday 10th September at 3.30 pm
Both talks are free of charge and are open to all.
His book highlights Britain’s family brewers, whose ‘heritage sites’ have evolved over the centuries, maintaining traditional systems of brewing and inspiring local loyalties.
The talks coincide with Heritage Open Days in Lewes, as well as the ‘Independent Family Brewers Beer Festival’ at Harvey’s Brewery.
Roger will be pleased to sign copies of his book, which can be purchased at Harvey’s Brewery Shop in Cliffe High Street.
