Finest Maris Otter malted barley is supplemented with a dash of Crystal malt for balance. Our hops are a blend of four different local varieties, to give a distinctive hoppy finish.
Brewed since the 1950s the brew has evolved over decades, satisfying the expectations of the people of Sussex and its adjoining counties.
Harvey’s Sussex Best is full of character which is down to the perfectly blended combination of the four fine hops and two malts.
It’s full of caramel and chocolate with background notes of orange peel and a palette refreshing subtle bitterness that pairs perfectly with a big punchy curry. Try it with butter chicken or a spicy beef madras. It also sits perfectly with the hot, sour and sweet flavours of Thai and Vietnamese dishes.
All in all a cracking drop of drink.
